Who we are

What we collect

Contact details you give us when entering the awards or using the enquiry form, including name, business name, email address and telephone number.
Entry information, including the classes entered, product names and your chosen collection point.
Payment information, which is processed by our payment provider. We do not store card details.
Newsletter sign up details, where you have chosen to receive updates.
Website usage data collected through analytics, used in aggregate to understand how the site is used.

How we use it

To administer your entry, issue sample tubs and communicate about deliveries, judging and results.
To publish the names of successful competitors, as set out in General Rule 10.
To send you feedback and your official star rating after the competition.
To send occasional updates about the awards where you have asked to receive them.
To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Blind judging and your data

Entrant identity is deliberately separated from judging. Samples are labelled so that judges cannot identify the business behind an entry, and scores are recorded against the sample rather than the entrant until results are collated.

Sharing

We share your details with collection point hosts only to the extent needed to receive your samples, and with service providers who help us run the competition, such as our payment provider and mailing house. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Entry records and results are retained so that historic competition results remain available. Contact details are kept for as long as you remain in contact with the Alliance, and newsletter details until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to ask us to delete it where we have no continuing reason to hold it, and to object to marketing at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@goldenscoop.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
